What to Wear

Your child will be active during camp therefore will need to wear clothing and shoes which are comfortable for them to move around in (tracksuit bottoms/ loose fitting tops, sweatshirts & trainers are ideal).

What to Bring

Weather

If we are experiencing sunny weather, we ask that you apply sunscreen before your child arrives at Camp and that you send them with a labelled bottle/tube of sunscreen for them to use as needed during the day.  Please be aware that we are only able to apply the sunscreen for your child if we receive written permission but we will remind all children to put it on when needed.

Likewise if we experience cooler weather we will continue with sensible outdoor activities but would ask that you send your child with a sweatshirt/ loose fitting jacket to allow them full participation. If it rains heavily, we will moderate outdoor activity but would expect the children to spend at least some part of each day in the fresh air.

A daily swimming session means that your  child  will need to  bring swimming kit & towel (plus goggle if required) every day. We will supply floats, noodles and pools toys but please provide arm bands if your child is reliant on them.  A swimming hat is compulsory. It is a short 1 minute walk to Waverley Pool but if the weather is bad please proved your child with appropriate outdoor clothing.

What Not to Bring to Camp

Money

Your child will not need any money as there is nothing to buy.

Mobile phones, electronic devices

We are promoting an electronic device free Camp which means that we ask that you do not send your child to Camp with mobile phones or electronic devices.

If you need to contact your child or your child is feeling anxious and would like to contact you, they can do so on the Weekday Sports numbers which will be provided at the start of the week to all participants.

Eating & Drinking

Please provide your child with a healthy packed lunch and 2 healthy snacks. (Nut free please). We do not have refrigeration facilities at Camp so ask that each parent provides an ice pack or frozen fruit juice within the lunch box  if you want to keep things cool until lunch break.

A water bottle (don’t worry if your children drink it all - we will provide extra water as required).

Please ensure that everything is clearly labelled with your child's name  to ensure that your items go home with you every evening.
