If you have booked in for the full camp, your child may be placed in a different group on the different weeks. Exact grouping will be organised on the first day of Camp.

If I book siblings or book in with a friend, will the children be in the same group?

We offer a multi age activity approach where children will mostly participate in the same activity at the same time. Therefore it is likely that friends or siblings of similar age will be in the same participation groups.  They can also sit together at break & lunch times.

We typically offer a 1:9 adult:child supervision ratio with additional members if necessary and during swimming activities.

I am worried that my child will be lonely if they attend camp on their own?

Many children attend camp on their own but please do not worry as our staff encourage confidence and independence right from the moment they arrive which helps them to make friends and feel comfortable as quickly as possible.

What does my child need to wear/bring to camp?

Your child will be active during camp therefore we advise that they wear clothing and shoes  that are comfortable for them to move around in (tracksuit bottoms/ loose fitting tops, sweatshirts & trainers are ideal).

If we are experiencing sunny weather, we ask that you apply sunscreen before your child arrives at camp and that you send them with a labelled bottle/tube of sunscreen for them to use as needed during the day.  Please be aware that we are unable to apply the sunscreen for your child but will remind them to put it on when needed.

A daily swimming session means that your  child  will need to  bring swimming kit & towel (swimming aids & goggle if required) everyday. Please note: swimming hats are compulsory at Waverley Swimming Pool and your child will not be able to participate without one.

A healthy packed lunch and 2 healthy snacks. (Nut free please). We do not have refrigeration facilities at Camp so ask that you provide an ice pack or frozen fruit juice within the lunch box  if you want to keep things cool until lunch break.  You will also need a refillable water bottle (don’t worry if your children drink it all - extra drinking water will be available.

Please ensure clothing and property are clearly labelled with your child's name.
